Refugee Action has been standing up for refugees and people seeking asylum since 1981. We exist to make the UK a place where everyone seeking safety can live free from poverty, injustice and discrimination – and where they are supported to rebuild their lives.

Our work spans three mutually reinforcing areas:

• Innovative service delivery – providing practical, high-quality support to help people access justice, housing, and essential services.
• Support for community-based organisations – strengthening and connecting hundreds of refugee- and migrant-led groups so they can thrive and meet the needs of their communities.
• Advocacy for systemic change – campaigning for fairer policies and amplifying the voices of people with lived experience at every level of decision-making.
